Our Money Advice Outreach Project
Hello, my name is Laura, the Money Advice Outreach Project Manager. I have over 5 years experience in debt, money and home energy advice and have a huge passion for helping people understand and manage their finances and find freedom from debt and poverty.
Before moving into money advice back in 2017, I spent a decade working in outdoor centres across the UK and in Canada. I love being outdoors and enjoy walking and canoeing when I get the chance. My family and I moved to Cumbria 2 years ago so we’re relatively new to the area but we love living in Kendal and I’m so excited to support the community in this way. My husband and I have a little (very energetic) boy and a big (very lazy) retired greyhound so life is always a little bit hectic but I wouldn’t change it one bit!
Outside of chasing the toddler and walking the dog I really enjoy reading, painting and baking. I once baked a life sized bass guitar cake for a surprise birthday party!
The money coaching activities gave us an opportunity to have those conversations about where we think we should be spending our money.
